Socratis Efstathiou, a Baby Boomer, was born in Tanzania / Africa by Greek Cypriot parents and then moved to Athens at the age of 6. He had 4 years classical piano education at the Athens Conservatory of Music during his teenager years, and has been working with music since 1973, first in a family`s records and books shop, and then parallel as a DJ in many fashionable clubs in Athens during the winters and at the Greek islands of Corfu, Spetses, Crete, Santorini, etc., in the summers.
In Cyprus, he has organized and co-produced many cultural events of all forms of art, such as the famous Paradise Jazz Festival, Reggae SunJam Festival, rock and rebetika Greek nights, Indian classical dance performances, staged theater plays, art exhibitions, seminars, etc, first as manager of the renowned Paradise Place and later as director of The orange Train project. Under this name, he is a member of ICMACY (Indian Classical Music and Arts Cyprus Foundation), DubwiZe and founder, together with Kyp Paraskeva, of PoP Up Events.
